Cohen's Blessing

I think Cohen is the biggest baby to ever be blessed! We were lucky to find a little white outfit big enough. At only four months old he is weighing approx 18 pounds. We'll find out for sure at the doctors on Monday....

We waited to bless him so my parents could be there. Erik gave Cohen such a nice blessing and to top it all off Erik and I both were assigned to speak. The meeting went so well we all felt the spirit and feel so blessed to have Cohen in our lives.

Fort Sumter

We took a fairy ride out to Fort Sumter (first shots of the civil war where fired here). Fort Sumter is on a island off Charleston Harbor.

Chillin in the Tent

We wanted to contribute, but weren't brave enough to touch it.

Downtown Charleston

There is so much to see in Charleston you need way more than a weekend and more than a students salary to really experience it.

The Beach

The first day we hung out at the beach. Cohen and his little girlfriend Kendell where born two days apart. We know Cohen is a bit huskier.

Charleston

Two weeks ago Erik asked me if I wanted to go camping with Cohen in a city 5 hours away. My first response was "are you kidding me!, Do you realize how much work that would be?" First of all Cohen had never been a away from home, Cohen dislikes his carseat, what do we do with the dog, and I am still providing milk via a pump. All inconveniences that may make our "vacation" not so vacation like. But the more we discussed it and both of us feeling in real need of a "vacation" we decided to go a ahead and do it.

Oh and we had to coordinate with friends who also had a 3 month old baby. Seemed like mission impossible to me.

But to my surprise everything went relatively well. The worst part of the trip, which we did not consider, was the humidity! Camping in the humidity, yuck. We felt so sticky and wet all the time. And poor Lance and Ariel their tent leaked the first night. Thank goodness for driers and showers. Their was also a little restaurant melt down from the Cohen bug, but other than that we had a good time and the babies slept really well!

A visit from friends

Micah and Erik grew up together. They had many adventures through their childhood and adolescent years. Micah and his wife Emily came to visit from Indiana where they are finishing up graduate programs. It was so nice to catch up on old times. It made us realize how much we missed them and all our frineds from Utah. It even gave Aggie a chance to make a new dog friend. Well kinda Aggie pestered Cooper the whole time. Cooper tried to tell Aggie to back off but Aggie remained clueless.
