Fireworks

After the parade we came home put Cohen down for a nap and grilled ourselves some burgers. Later that evening Johnson City had a firework program at the high school that we went to. It was pretty good. All though it was way to late for Cohen. The fireworks didn't start until after ten and Cohen was clearly ready for bed. As the fireworks started he watched the first few and barely had the energy to lift his little hand to point to them  It wasn't long before he was out. The fireworks were really loud too. I couldn't believe he fell asleep he even stayed asleep during the finale and everything.

Petting Zoo

July 4th

There is a little town just a few miles from us called Jonesborough. It is a really neat little historic town and is the oldest city in TN. Jonesborough had a  little parade July third they also had lots of food and games for the kids and Cohen's favorite a little petting zoo. He was pretty excited when he got licked by the cow.

Hanging with Grandpa

Hanging With Grandma

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Stewart

Erik's Sister Sherina who lives just 90 miles west of us had a baby girl in June. Erik's parents came to see the new baby and visit us too. We were so lucky to have them here. We did lots of fun things and it was so nice to have help with Cohen and the house.

Grandfather Mountain

This was our second trip to Grandfather Mountain.  We liked it so much the first time we decided we wanted Cohen and Grandma and Grandpa to experience it with us this time. I think Cohen's favorite thing was the otters I think he was jealous of their little habitat they had with the pool and the waterfall. He kept running back to look at their water.

Rhododendron Festival

Rhododendrons I have never seen until i moved to TN. On Roan mountain near our house there is the largest collection of Rhododendrons in the world. They bloom near the end on June and Roan Mountain holds a festival during that time. We decided it would be a fun thing to experience. It is a beautiful mountain although the flowers didn't bloom to potential because of the harsh winter we had. The scenery was still very pretty and the festival was fun too with all the food, music, and cloggers.

What's new with the Coco Puff

I would say that Cohen's favorite thing right now is Basket Ball. He likes going out to the courts at our condo to shoot around with dad. He also has a little hoop inside that he loves. When we are driving in the car he points out every basket ball hoop he sees and any sporting event on tv is basket ball to him. He first real words was basket ball. Some other interests include playing on his fire truck and in the dog food
Talking on the phone, especially to Grandma and Grandpa
Water
Cohen loves the water. He likes playing in the hose, the baby pool, lake, and ocean and sometimes the pool. He thinks he wants to swim without my help and without floaties. Then he tries to jump into the pool by himself!
Climbing
Cohen climbs on everything. His toys, the dinning chairs and table, lately its been the ottoman and the couch. And his favorite jumping from the ottoman to the couch and off the couch to the floor! I know I have ER trips in my future.

Hats
Cohen's other recent interest is hats. He wants to wear them and wants everyone else to wear them too.

Just Like Daddy

Shoes
For the last couple of months Cohen has developed a interest in shoes. He is very opinionated not only about his shoes, but about what shoes everyone else should be wearing too. If you don't have any shoes or the wrong shoes on you will hear about it. He was insistent that Grandpa should wear his dress shoes even with jeans.
